Just a former schoolmarm and unrepentant maverick. Though I'm 77, I'm too bolshie to metamorphose into a sweet little old lady.

Selamat Hari Raya Aidil Fitri
To all dear friends, young and old, near and far, Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir dan Batin from maznoor and iain.
And to my adored sister Maznah and much-loved brother Mustapha and their families
The New Zealand Family
Come earthquake or hail or storm we will be with the other half of the family until 30th September with Lely aka pickled herring as chaperone Insyallah.
I have not seen my sisters-in-law and their families for nearly five years. Bride and Jane many, many, many, moons ago.
This is as good a time as any. G'day Kiwi rellies!
Ah, Sun - Flower! weary of time,
Who countest the steps of the Sun;
Seeking after that sweet golden clime,
Where the traveller's journey is done:

You forgot to say InsyaAllah when you mention "Come earthquake or hail or storm we will be with the other half of the family until 30th September with Lely aka pickled herring as chaperone."
just "nak sakat" you..
May you two have Blessed Eid wherever you are..
Dear Wan Sharif,
Many many thanks for the "translation".
Nak sakat orang tua ya? Ini mesti minta banyak maaf dah! No, I often get teased by youngsters - it's a sign of affection, I think. But 'Allah be willing' is never out of my heart and mind. But thanks for noting the omission.
Finally Selamat Hari Raya Wan Sharif, to you and all your loved ones. We'll be in 'touch' come October, Insyallah
Ha! Have you forgotten we came to Malaysia and stayed with you??
I don't remember that photo.
See you soon. Safe travels.
As for that visit of yours - I prefer to forget it hee hee hee!
Indeed we really look forward to seeing you lot again very very soon.
But no earthquakes! Promise?
I think you both looked sweet in that old photo.
..and Selamat Hari Raya to you and Iain too . My family can never thank both of you enough and may Allah repay you for all you've donr for the family. Abah would have been very proud of you and both he and Mak would certainly be at peace knowing you were around . God bless you two !
...have a nice break in NZ and i will definite miss your presence...
And Josh's and my visit to UK??? I think we may have a few "issues" when you arrive.Things you choose to forget eh, Hmmmmm!
Maybe your brain is medication dysfunctional.
No promises on earthquakes . Wellington is long overdue the 'big one'!
Looking forward to seeing you all. Happy travels.
Selamat Hari Raya to you Ash and Uncle, May you have a safe journey to NZ and back, Insyallah! And to Wan Shariff, thank you for the translation!
PH, make sure you look after Aunty and Uncle for us, ok?
EID MUBARAK TO EVERYONE!
Don't you worry Roy, i will look after them, and if they misbehave i will make them stand and face the wall.
Thank you sunnysideup.
Have a restful Hari Raya and don't let Comot, Rusty and Socks bully you too much.
Have smashing Hari Raya.
Do send us photos of THE wedding.
ph, If YOU misbehave, we shall cast you into the Mangaweka Gorge.
Hopefully you will be rescued by a very wealthy NZ Sheep farmer who bears a strong resemblance to Adrian Pang.
My dear AsH, if that happens, i mean being rescued by a sheep farmer who resembles Adrian Pang, i'll immediately call Gonzo and Andy to tell them to keep the job.
Ms Hamid and Uncle Iain,
You both look very handsome and beautiful in the photo.
Selamat Hari Raya and Happy Holidays!
Thank you little bird. I'm reading this at the Airport.
Have a great weekend....with your contractors?
Selamat hari Raya MaaF zahir batin, to you and Iain. Raya day itself was a quiet affair in KL with my own family but last weekend all five children of arwahs Attan and Aminah got together in kampung, the Republic of Lubok Cina, Melaka. A bit of mercun and bunga api to make the kids happy and their moms fret, and it's great Eid.
Driving down to Singapore for the night F1 and to beRaya with some friends from JSS like Mazlan. Hope to meet up with Lely and Irene, too.
