Selamat Berpuasa - Appendix
I decided to scan the article mentioned in the earlier posting. Do click the image to get a 'readable' view. I am sure there is a better and easier way to do this but the technique and technology just eludes me.
The same to you Helas. Have a peaceful Ramadan. Are you going back to the kampung for Eid?
Dear mekyam, Yippee, we're still here in KL! I've had one too many Ramadans during summer in the temperate zone - here's wishing you and yours selamat berpuasa.
Ms Hamid, I squinted and squinted and still couldnt read it, but I get the gist of it. Selamat berpuasa and lucky you - pasar tani, pasar malam, pasar Ramadhan!
Kak Teh, Isn't it a lonngg day in Ingerland? but selamat berpuasa to you and Hulaimi. Sorry about my nerdy extract. Did you try clicking on the text?
Helas, Do come round after the 23rd. Only people under 23 get duit raya and because of the economic downturn and the rising cost of teh tarik and tosay, this year the dispensation of duit raya will touch a ceiling of 25sen. Only little persons shorter than 4ft 10ins (I hate metrics) will be given 30sen.
i will go round-round for duit raya starting Saturday, hehe...adoi.. never mind... i'll come with different imej.. with eye glass, with t-shirt, with baju melayu, then with songkok.. untill reach 1.00.. can go drink teh O after that .. coz Teh tarik now already 1.20.. adoii.... lucky now i'm 5 feet taller hehehe....
From what I've been taught by my father, we understand Islam first by our heart with the help of our mind. Ramadhan should be the month where we look into our inner self for what we have done yesterday, now n tommorow. Salam Ramadhan A.S.H n family Have a save journey for Aildilfitri
Salam Ramadan to you and family Hazalee, That was how my Abah taught us about being a Muslim. The heart first - and for him Islam also means surrender - to subdue and subsume one's ego to a higher Being and greater Cause. Only then can we feel for and with others less fortunate than us. Some religions extol love but the stress on JUSTICE above all else in Islam is something we have to revive. Already a major religion is now utilising that word as their mantra. It's a shame if we neglect it by default because we get too overconcerned about building up our credits for the benefit of our personal salvation - for getting a toe-hold into heaven. I personally feel piety needs a good dose of generosity as well, but not only during Ramadan.
salam Ramadhan A.S.H..
ReplyDeleteselamat berpuasa to you and yours, AsH!
ReplyDeletedon't you wish you're spending ramadan in the tropics? not just for the food, but for the shorter daylight. ;D
